Spencer Walters - Author and game Creator

Yes, it’s spelled S-O-R-E-N—and yes, people will probably assume I don’t know how to spell. In many cases… they’d be right. 😄But this one is intentional.

Soren Games is named after Soren, the main character from my fantasy novel series The Five Clans of Tresibra. I liked the double meaning, the name sounds familiar, feels strong, and connects the studio directly to the worlds and characters I’ve spent years building. Any spelling mistakes you find on our website? That’s just me being authentic. You can thank public schools for that one.

Where It All Started

My love for the gaming community truly ignited after attending my first Midwest Gaming Classic with a few friends. Something clicked that weekend. Seeing developers, collectors, artists, and fans all sharing the same passion made it clear to me—I didn’t just want to play games anymore.
I wanted to make them.

From that moment on, the goal became bigger than games alone. I wanted to build and manage a creative studio that could bring new video games, books, movies, and animated stories into the world.

A Lifelong Passion

My journey with video games started young. I was eight years old when I bought my first system, the Nintendo Entertainment System and that single purchase shaped the next 30+ years of my life. Games weren’t just entertainment; they were inspiration. They taught me storytelling, design, challenge, and reward long before I knew those words mattered.

The desire to build and create something new has always been there. Watching indie developers turn pure passion into successful businesses finally pushed me to take the leap. With the growth of independent studios proving that small teams can make big, meaningful experiences, I decided it was time to try my own hand at game development and do it the right way.

I’m also the author of a fantasy novel series called The Five Clans of Tresibra, which laid the foundation for much of the world-building you’ll see in our games. The books are available right here on our site and on Amazon.

WINSLEY'S GUARDIAN

You never truly lose those you love and sometimes you've never met those who love you. Join Winsley on her journey to find her Guardian as you guide her through life, helping her find meaning on her path to understanding what life and love means to those around her past and present.

This is a top down action RPG unlike any you've ever played before. The story begins on a warm sunny Saturday morning in Cheese Land USA where you guide our young protagonist along her journey. Starting with her quest to find someone only named as her guardian.

Come along and aid Winsley through childhood, middle school, college, dating, finding a career, motherhood, a midlife crisis, retirement and even the old folks home! You'll find heart, meaning and a story unlike any you've see before.

This game was created to pay tribute to my daughter Everly who we lost 7 years ago. Everly's story is important, especially to any parent who's lost a child. Even though we had so little time with her, I cherish those memories and being able to hold her but only for a moment. If you know someone who's gone through this, or lost a child, you know how important keeping their memory alive is. I especially wanted her younger sister Winsley to know that she has someone always watching over her... her guardian.

Winsley's Guardian sn't just a cutesy action RPG, we bring elements of EarthBound and Link's Awakening to create a game unlike any before. You'll be swashbuckling with Winsley as she uses her everyday "weapons" to strike the fear into her enemies all while being as cute as a button. You'll traverse through the many stages of life that we will all inevitably follow. Childhood, teen years, young adult, middle age, retirement and finally you will battle death himself to close on an incredible story of a lifetime told by the most talented game creator and artist I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

What this game brings beyond fun is a sense of purpose and meaning to life. I've never played a game before with such deep meaning that still had its main focus being playability and fun. We've all cried during team meetings talking about the story, the game and its meaning, we've all poured our hearts into this game.

Diabetor and the sugar Monsters!

Diabetor was wreaking havoc on diabetics across the nation. He convinced diabetics it was healthy to eat high carb diets and it was destroying their A1C causing horrible complications and unhealthy lifestyles. The world needed a hero, and it came in the form of a middle-aged husband and father named Spencer. Years ago, he read a book that held the secret on how to defeat Diabetor. He first used this knowledge to reverse his diabetic complications and lower his A1C from 7.1 to 4.7. With his newly gained powers he became the Insulator! It was now time to defeat Diabetor and his evil sugar monsters!

Soren Rising - The Five clans of Tresibra

This is a new game for the Gameboy Color with art and programming by the amazing Elvies! With music from Jordan Walters, story, dialog and game design by Spencer Walters and game testing my Matt Ammirati. This side scroller is based on the novel of the same name "The Five Clans of Tresibra: Soren Rising". This is certainly not an easy fly by game, you'll side scroll through all five of the clans territories while battling Re'gul, Crown Gall and Beasts of the Tresibra. Use all of the five different weapons of the clans and make a name for yourself as the true warrior of Tresibra!

If you enjoy lore and meaning in your video games you'll enjoy taking a deep dive into the novel. With a top down Super Mario 6 Golden Coin type overworld and Mega Man 6 gameplay style you'll love this new addition to the Guardian Games Studio lineup.

Jordan's 1980s Adventure

Jordan’s 1980s Adventure invites you to play as Jordan, Guardian Games Studio’s rocking pixel-tune musician! Embark on a totally tubular journey back to the 1980s, where the world is inspired by classic top-down games like Pokémon and EarthBound. You’ll start your day waking up around noon (because, hey, it’s the 80s), doing chores, and grabbing your allowance before heading to the ultimate hangout—the arcade.

The overworld offers tons of rad activities, from side quests to snack runs! Don’t forget to hit up the 7/11 for some Clear Pepzi, Shark Bitez Fruit Snacks, Dunkaroos, and Bugles Corn Snacks. Get off your plastic-covered couch, crank up your beatbox, and dive into this epic nostalgic adventure.
